A Ukranian artist settled in India, Anastasia realised early on that words weren’t enough for her to communicate, which led her to start expressing herself through the brush. Her themes tend to convey both beauty as well as some deep meaning, and can be used together, or apart. She also loves experimenting with different media – once making an artwork using gemstones, leather, rice and lentils.

India, which is enriched by its diverse culture, tradition, customs and religions, provides boundless opportunities for the artistic eye. Through my artistic vision, I have attempted to depict rural culture of India with a hope of preventing it from going into oblivion or rejuvenate if it is perishing. In addition to following the path laid by our art gurus, I strongly believe that every artist should have his/her own identity, creativity and social concern. I specialise in acrylic painting on canvas. Majority of my artworks reflect the day to day life, custom and culture of rural folk of India with a special focus on Karnataka (one of the states in southern India) where I born and brought-up. Over a period of time I have cultivated my own unique techniques of brush stroke and knife stroke which have paved way for speed and rhythm, eventually merged in harmony.

A post-graduate in fine art from the Delhi College of Arts, Sarnjit’s paintings epitomise his inner sensitivity and spirituality. A celebrated artist, who’s been perfecting his art for over three decades, he delves deep into his subjects, often studying them for years before attempting to capture them on his canvas. His series of portraits of Guru Gobind Singh were a culmination of a seven year study of the Sikh scriptures and the writings of the 10th Sikh Guru. His subjects, and the medium he uses to paint, vary widely – from exploring the sensuality of women and Hindu mythology to vignettes of daily life from pages of history, exuding a sense of the mystical. With several group and solo shows to his credit, Sarnjit’s paintings are the proud possessions of many private and public collectors across the globe.

A post-graduate in Industrial Design from IIT, Mumbai, Sukanya started her career as a government officer in India. However, the lust to learn more in life made her break norms, travel the world and discover the artist in her. Sukanya’s subjects vary widely – from emotions, women, Krishna, Ganesha, Buddha and abstract forms to her favorite animal, the cat. Just like her subjects, her styles and media also vary from painting to painting. Now based in San Francisco, Sukanya draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Bengal, in particular Jamini Roy’s bold, colourful paintings and the intense poetry of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. She visualizes through realism and expresses through abstraction and her ethno-contemporary style is a reflection of her own joie de vivre. Sukanya has sold her paintings to private collections, with most of her earnings donated to children of special needs and polio in India.
